Healthy eating

LI: To learn about portion sizes and nutrients.

For this task we made a poster based off of the wonderful people working for Nestle who have showed us about a healthy diet and food portion, healthy eating means to eat healthy portions of food like whole grains, dairy products, vegetables and fruits which are very important for your health and great to eat.

I found this activity fun because we got to learn about the food that is needed to fuel our bodys

Water Safety

LI: To inform others about water safety

We learnt at AUT Millennium about water safety and how water could change in a split second and the importance of a life jacket as it could save your life. The purpose of a life jacket is to keep you floating and to keep your head out of the water. we also learnt how to make a huddle and a chain as they could save people’s lives, but another thing is that you have to make sure that it is tight and if it’s not it will be flimsy. 

i enjoy this activty as we got to go on a trip and learn about water safety.

Howick Historical Village

LI: to make a collage about Howick Historical Village

 

For this activity we went to Howick Historical Village to see how people in the past and how much technology has evolved from back then to now. When we arrived we first went to see the houses that people would live in later we would get into groups of 5 to 6 and asembled trollies lasty we learnt how to create butter out of the cream of milk.

I found this task entertaning because we got to go on a trip to Howick Historical Village

Sentence Strutures

LI: to Learn the Three Differnt Sentence Structures

For this challenge we understood the meaning of the three sentences, simple, compound, and complex. And for this challenge there were 4 boxes and only one of the

m had the correct answer to the question and the prize was that the more question that you answered the more fake money you’d win and my highest score was 500,000.

I enjoyed this game because this helped me improve in my writing and helping me to learn more about different sentences.

Sentence Structures

LI: To Explore Sentence Structures.

For this task we learnt about simple sentences and compound sentences. simple sentences have 1 noun 1 verb but compound sentences have 2 nouns 2 verbs and one fanboys and a example for a simple sentences is. The sloth climb at a slow pace and an example for compound is. The lion roared at the cat yet the cat remained unfazed.

Matariki Star

LI: To create matariki star designs

For this task LS2 created digital matariki star designs. I created a star that had wave on the bottom which also had a shark and stars to represent matariki and a fisk hook to represent strength, guidence, prosperity and good luck.

I found this task fun as I could get creative

Leaders we Admire

For this task we created a DLO about a leader that we admire. For me I picked Mother Teresa as she devoted her life to help people in need she grew up in Skopje, North Macedonia and she also won 7 honours

Vision Board 2024

LI: to visulise our goals

for this task we made a vision board about the people that we wanted to be like in the future and our future goals. for this task I pick Mohammad Ali as he was a super popular and has traits like being kind, disciplined and respectful. and some of my goals that I want to achieve are getting better with maths getting better grade and hopefully getting into selwyn college

Taniwha Name

LI: Understand how culture connects with your name

For this task we made a Taniwha and wrote it in our name for me I drew mine in between the y and a. We wrote these names, so we could added it to our painting we made of ourselves. We drew a draft before we made our taniwha, so we didn’t have to think of a design.

I found this task difficult because I could find a place at first.

Current Events

LI: to identify the author’s purpose

for this task we found news report and articalls that we compared to our describing words for example  relevance which effects a local area. We then summarized these articalls using ten words.

I found this task neutral because it was challenging on some reports but easy on others.
